Steve is currently the Owner/Principal Consultant for SkyBridge Security Risk LLC. SkyBridge Security Risk Consulting navigates the security landscape to provide comprehensive risk assessments, consulting, prevention, and mitigation solutions. Steve is also helping clients understand how best to live and navigate across all levels of international risk environments.

He last served as the Senior Security Director for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Steve served in multiple security roles before assuming the Senior Director role. Steve retired following a 38 ½ year career with Lockheed Martin with 24 years as the Senior Director. Steve has conducted and overseen multiple security assessments in a wide array of international locations including Iraq, UAE, Pakistan, Algeria, Colombia, India, Uganda and Indonesia. Steve has had the unique experience of responding and dealing with a wide array of workplace violence situations including multiple murder/suicide, a suicide, an off-premise murder associated with a workplace violence case, assaults in the workplace and many successful threat assessments and interventions. Steve has conducted, led, and overseen a complex array of investigations. Those have included cases such as harassment, workplace violence, fraud, employee misconduct, personnel security and counterintelligence.

While serving as the Senior Security Director, Steve was responsible for all aspects of Security & Emergency Services for four major aircraft manufacturing facilities in Marietta, Georgia, the legendary Skunk Works in Palmdale, California, Fort Worth, Texas and Greenville South Carolina along with Sustainment, Aircraft Modifications and Sub-Assembly plants across the globe. Operations include an employee population of over 30,000, coverage of over 10,000 acres of facility space, over 15 million square feet of covered work area, and four active flight lines. The principal disciplines under Steve’s charge included Program Security (F-35/F-22/F 16/ADP), Crisis Management, Global Security Services & International Crisis Management associated with employees assigned in 18 countries, Security Forces, Fire Protection Services, Government Security Operations, Classified Cybersecurity, Investigations, Counterintelligence and the Insider Threat Program.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in 1985, Steve served as a Counterintelligence Special Agent for U.S. Army Intelligence. Steve was last stationed in Italy from January 1982 to January 1985 as a Special Agent and Special Agent in Charge at the Livorno Resident Office, Livorno, Italy. In these positions, Steve principally served as a liaison with Italian Intelligence and Counter-terrorism officials. He was actively involved in a number of cases involving the Red Brigades, the Italian terrorism group active during the early 1980s. He also conducted a number of Operational Security Evaluations (OSE) of sensitive overseas military locations during this period.

Steve is currently serving on the Georgia Southern University Advisory Board for the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences. He has previously served on the FBI’s Domestic Security Alliance Council; the State of Texas Private Sector Advisory Council; as an industry member to the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC); as Past Chair of the Industrial Security Committee of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) and has represented the Defense Industrial Base on several Advisory Panels to the Department of Homeland Security. Steve is a long-time member of ASIS International. Steve holds a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Armstrong State College (Georgia Southern) in Savannah, Georgia.
